The soothing Sunday thoughts: rose whispers

The day was getting tired.

As I was about to walk towards my porch, I suddenly heard how the rose whispered: “You cannot go away and leave me alone. As the stream of time takes everything with it, it does not distinct between the trash and the treasure.

Everything flows away with it, so does the beauty, so does the ugliness of our despair.”

“I will return another day, just keep blossoming. My patience is short today and my pain takes me to a deep valley of suffering,” I said more to myself, but I had to experience this sad monologue:

“One day long, or one life long: the flow of time knows no difference. It is a glimpse; it is a short while for it whether you value that moment or not.

Stay with me, you cannot leave me alone.

The beauty has the shortest of lifespans. I have only this small moment from all the eternity. It will never come back.

Stay with me, you cannot go away and leave me alone.

The other day has other worries; there is never enough time for the beauty to blossom. There is always enough time to suffer, to cry and to despair.

So, won’t you leave me alone?” she asked fearfully.

“No, I won’t. I will make some time, I will stay with you.

Nothing ever returns, and it only leaves us. I have to make time for you. There is only this one moment from all the eternity. I will not go and leave you alone. I will make the time stop, although, it will last only a few hours.”

Rose whispers Mindful living

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience. Author: https://www.psychologytoday.com/basics/mindfulness

No, we shouldn’t. Anything one-sided is obviously missing the other side. Rose is from my backyard. I cannot wait when frosts will be over. Thanks Wendy for stopping by!

      1. Oh Inese, I wish this confirmation would improve the situation with the blatant procrastination issues I am having 😦 Or may be I am simply tired? Old? I don’t know.

I have the same problem. I’m simply tired and I could use more energy. Time also flies, so it’s tough to get done everything which was intended. I think life is very fast forward nowadays and that takes a lot of rushing and pushing oneself. Even creating a blog post: I wish I could just post one picture and off it goes, but I just like you want to include illustrations, and for painted illustration it can take 2-3 weeks to get it to an acceptable stage.

      3. Oh I understand that. Even a photograph takes time to make it presentable. I am posting something once a week, but I would rather do that twice a month. Probably I will, in the future.
Even if you post one image per blog, it still requires a lot of time. We cannot be engaged in blogging all the day round, even if we wish so.

It does require time. 3 or 4 days a week I have classes, so those days all energy goes to classes because there’s so much preparation for each one. I know that every image takes work. I just wish I could post some quick small works that didn’t take working on them for 8 hours a day and lots of weeks. I must go somehow easier because these art pictures really are very limiting. I have written so much for the lifeschool blog, but it’s not posted since I don’t have illustration material. Stupid, right? It’s good for you you are posting once a week, I don’t think I can do that because lots of time goes into trying promote my classes.

Eventually this all comes down to the fact there are only 24 hours in a day. I also think just like you said getting older feels somewhat like having less energy. Everything taking longer? Maybe.
